Love an easy-to-use blog tool (like I do), which saves you time and, makes managing the various activities (Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Creation, Email Marketing, and social media promotion) within your blogging business easier? Then this post is for you
As I share with you the many benefits of the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule (a planning and marketing social media tool), along with, how you can get the most out of the software before making a financial commitment.

Thanks to working with a Counselling Psychologist/Psychotherapist I have learned to love a good tool.
(Instead of fearing them and whether I’ll get the hang of them, therefore, wasting my time and money if I don’t).
Whether that’s in my personal life (3 Tools to Grow outside Therapy sessions, 4 Mind-Blowing Tools that will Change your World and Help you to Overcome Past Regrets, Two Therapeutic Tools every Therapist must know) or in my blogging business.
Why? because tools have the ability to enrich and enhance our lives by making life that little bit smoother and stress-free so we can relax a little.
Since, life in and of itself, is already stressful and unpredictable at times.
That, we don’t need any more stress and unpredictability added to our lives.
Instead, we need tools.
Tools, we can lean on to support us in relieving our stress and anxiety.
So we can focus on what really matters in our lives.
And this, is no exception with our blog businesses either.

A blog tool to relieve your stress and support you in running your blog business
As a fellow lover of blog tools, therefore, what you’ll particularly appreciate in a blog tool is its:
- Visual appeal
- Ease of use; and
- Efficiency in completing tasks
As a result, enabling you to move your blog forward with ease, from where it was yesterday, the day before, a week ago, a month ago, and even a year ago.
Therefore, why I love the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule (a planning and marketing social media tool).
As it gives you all of this and more.
And why I want to share its many benefits and features with you, so you too can get the most out of the platform before you’ve even decided to make a financial commitment.
So let’s get going with what exactly the blog tool is.
What the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule blog tool is?
The Marketing Calendar by Coschedule is an awesome all-in-one online calendar, which allows you to:
1) Organize your projects and to-do list all in one place
2) Quickly and easily schedule and automate your social media promotions following the date of their publishing
3) See what you’ve got scheduled in at a distance, so you can get some objectivity on what promotions are going out and when
4) And, if needed, quickly re-schedule your social media campaigns with an easy drag and drop feature
So you’re not having to go from one place to another to find what tasks and activities you need to do and when by.
And at the same time, schedule (and potentially reschedule) your social media promotions.
Therefore, shaving minutes (maybe even hours) off your workload as you have the ability to do it all in one place.
To give you a better idea of the platform and what it is, let’s say at the minute you are using a free platform like Trello to help you organize your ideas, to-do list, and projects.
And at the same time, Hootsuite, Buffer, or another social media online tool, to schedule your social media promotions.
With Coschedule, however, you are effectively getting two platforms in one. Trello combined with Buffer (as an example).
To further show you what I mean, let’s take a closer look at how the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule.
How to use the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule blog tool for your blog business?
The calendar works via a WordPress plugin, which supports you in using the platform from the convenience of your blogs dashboard.
As it allows you to create one of the following:
- A project, therefore, allowing you to break down all the various tasks you need, to able to finish a project
- A social media campaign or single message; and
- Even begin writing your WordPress blog post
All in one place (I know genius).
Here’s how it looks at a glance…

At the minute (as a newbie to the platform myself), I mainly use it to schedule my social media campaigns on various platforms and to re-queue my promotions.
Therefore, allowing me to remain consistent with promoting my content over a longer period of time.
And it’s these two features, which I love the most.
So, let’s now take a closer look at the ease of scheduling in social media campaigns with the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule.
Creating a social media campaign with the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule blog tool
To create a single social media message or a social media campaign to go out on your various social media platforms, therefore, you’ll need to click create > social.
Which, once clicked, will bring you to the following page…

Organizing your projects and social media campaigns inside the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule blog tool
Once on the above page, you’ll see at the top right-hand corner, there’s an option to set a colour label to organise your projects, like you would on an Outlook calendar.
Therefore, supporting you in staying organized when you’re looking at a glance, what you’ve got going on for a particular week or month.
Publishing posts and scheduling in social media for your blogging business

The icon next to that is where you would set the date and time of when your next blog post is going to be published.
So you can schedule your various social media promotions for each blog post accordingly, following their publishing.
For instance, you can select the same day you publish your post, the day after, a week after, or a custom date for a blog post promotion to go out, on any social media platform.
Clicking on even one of those options will then open the following window.

Therefore, giving you the opportunity to select, the social media profile, you want to publish a post to, where it says ‘Add social profile’.
And below that, space to create your marketing copy to promote your blog posts, courses, Ebooks etc.
You can’t schedule in posts for different social media platforms all at once here (like all social media automation tools).
As you have to do them one by one, through the previous screenshot I showed.
But you are always brought back to the previous screenshot I showed, once you have scheduled in a social media post.
Therefore, making it convenient for you to quickly and easily schedule in one post after another, for each social media platform.
And once scheduled, they’re added to the previous screenshot, under the time and date (i.e. under one of the plus signs) you selected for your posts to go out.
It’s also here, where you can duplicate a post once you’ve scheduled it in, so you don’t have to keep copying and pasting a promotion.
As well as review all your promotions in one place before changing your campaign from draft to scheduled.
Therefore, making scheduling your social media promotions, and ultimately your life, easier.
Inserting a photo and or video
Further down that window too, you can choose to insert a photo or video, as well as, select the date and time of when you want a promotion to go out.
Which, to make your life easier, is probably best to leave to ‘Best time’, unless of course, you have a specific time in mind you would like a promotion to go out at.
As a result, supporting you in taking the guess work out of the optimal time to publish a post.
And/or having to check another social media automation tool for the optimal timings to publish a post on the free social media scheduling tool you are using.
One small caveat to the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule
The only downside, I’ve found, is if you’re scheduling a Twitter promotional copy, and you want to use a hashtag, it doesn’t seem to sync up with Twitter (like it would on Tweetdeck or Buffer).
So you’ll need to go into Twitter to do this.
But, you’re already saving lots of time, scheduling in your social media posts through the Marketing Calendar, that it doesn’t matter that you need to do this.
Re-Queue Feature
This is the second feature I mentioned I loved, as it allows you to simply add a promotion to a queue to be promoted indefinitely.
And is similar to the smart loop feature in Tailwind.
Therefore, allowing you to remain consistent over months and years.
Price of blog tool and how to get the most out of the software before making a financial commitment
So, by now, you’re probably wondering about the price of the Marketing Calendar, therefore, let’s take a closer look at this.
The full price of the Marketing Calendar is $348 a year for 10 social media platforms.
However, you can get 50% off the full price ($174) for the first year, by writing a review (like I am).
But before even making any financial commitment, you will get a 14-day free trial.
As well as, the option to extend your free trial by another 14-days once your initial trial period is over.
Therefore, bringing your total trial period to 28 days.
In which time, you can take full advantage of the platform, as you take the time to familiarize yourself with how the platform works, and its various features.
So when you do finally make that financial commitment, you can hit the ground running.
Therefore, not wasting any money or time, on actually learning the blog tool once you make that financial commitment.
As you will have already done the majority (if not all) of your learning, during the overall 28 day trial period.
To support you with this, you can check out the following two resources:
Coshedule Affiliate scheme
In addition to the above, you will also automatically become a Coschedule affiliate, as you will be given a referral link, to share with your audience once your trial period is over.
Therefore, allowing you to take advantage of 10% off the subscription cost, for every purchase made using your referral link.
Investing in blog tools for your blogging business
Now a word on investing in your blogging business.
If you’re not earning money, or are earning very little money, with your blog, it’s understandable you might be more reluctant to invest in your business.
Compared to someone who is earning quite a bit of money and has likely been on the blogging scene for quite some time already.
Therefore, also making you more reluctant to invest in the Marketing Calendar by Coschedule.
However, this is the wrong move.
Why is this the wrong move? Because firstly, if you want to achieve more in less time. You need tools to be able to support you with this.
Especially if you are running your blog business on your own and are unable to afford to pay for someone to help you on a longer term basis, which is especially the case for newbie bloggers.
The Universe and getting what you want
The second reason this is the wrong move is because in order for you to get a return on investment in anything you want in life, you have to first invest in it.
In other words, you have to first give out, what it is you want, for it to come back to you.
In the belief, eventually, it will get you, your desired outcome.
Otherwise, it will be like you are not fully committed, and the Universe will not be able to read what it is you want.
So it cannot bring it back to you.
And, even if the Universe does bring it back to you, you will not be prepared for it, so you will miss your chance.
Investing in your blogging business, and what it communicates to the Universe
‘Where attention goes, energy flows’
Tony Robbins
Therefore, investing in your blogging business (before you are earning a significant amount of money) is a sign to yourself (and the universe), this endeavor is important and matters to you.
And that you are abundant in money.
Since the brain knows no difference to whether you are abundant in money or not.
All it knows is what your thinking and what your feeling.
So even if you acted like you were abundant in money, when your not, you’re brain wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between whether you are or you are not.
But, when you tell yourself you don’t have the money for something you want.
Therefore refusing to invest in your business, you are wiring your brain for lack.
Therefore, an abundance of money cannot be brought back to you, since you’re not giving anything out.
And money, just like time, is energy.
Caveat to investing in your blogging business
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying keep spending in order for an abundance of money to be returned back to you.
Because that’s not how it works.
What I’m saying is, if you really want something, and maybe you can’t stop thinking about it, as a result, then don’t resist purchasing it.
Find a way to be able to purchase it, even if it means getting a second income from somewhere.
For instance, selling items on Ebay.
Discerning what to invest in
At the same time, however, you need to be discerning.
Assessing your goals and what it is you want to achieve for you, your life and your business.
And then make an informed decision on what to invest in, based on what you believe will bring the most value back to your business.
So, in this instance, if you want time back to spend more time on the activities, which are going to move your business forward, such as, Search Engine Optimization, and which you ultimately enjoy doing.
But still want to ensure you have a consistent online social media presence in order to grow your social media following and to reach more of your target audience.
Then the Marketing Calendar by Coshedule is for you, as it will take you between 5 – 15 minutes to schedule in all your social media promotions.
Therefore, a quick and easy solution for when you’ve spent a considerable amount of time on SEO activities, writing, editing, and re-editing your content, creating and editing images to accompany your posts, and might even be overrunning on these activities.
That by the time you come to scheduling your social media promotions, you don’t have much time, energy, or enthusiasm to put your all into them.
